Case file: Pool cages

Pool cage and screen enclosure cleaning, no torn panels.

The green film on the screens, the black mildew on the frames and the gray lanai ceiling all come off with a low pressure soft wash. No pressure washer on the screens, no bleach stains on the deck, and the pool deck is cleaned on the same visit.

The case

Why Florida pool cages go green.

Screens hold moisture

Fine mesh holds dew overnight, which is exactly what algae and mildew want. The north and east sides of the cage go green first, then the frames go black.

Pressure tears screens

A pressure washer at close range splits panels and pushes dirt into the mesh. We apply a cleaning solution at garden hose pressure, let it work, and rinse. The growth dies and lets go.

The pool stays clean

We rinse toward the drains, not the pool, and the mix we use on the cage is gentle enough that a normal rinse keeps the water chemistry where it was.

Deck and cage together

The deck gets a surface cleaner, the cage gets a soft wash, and the lanai ceiling gets done last so nothing drips onto a clean deck.

Questions

Pool Cage Cleaning questions.

Wondering about price? See typical pressure washing costs in Orlando.

Will the solution hurt my pool?

No. We rinse away from the pool and use the lowest effective mix on the cage. Normal pool chemistry absorbs the little that reaches the water.

Can you fix torn or sagging screens?

No, we clean. If a panel is torn we will tell you and photograph it, but re-screening is a separate trade.

How often should a pool cage be cleaned?

Once a year for most homes, twice for cages under oaks or next to a lake. It is usually done on the same visit as the house wash.

Do you clean the lanai furniture?

We move it, clean under it and rinse it. Cushions come off first.

How is it priced?

By the size of the cage and whether the deck is included. Text a photo of the cage and the address for a same day quote.
